Medicare Part A - Hospitalization
Part A – This is hospital insurance and “covers inpatient hospital stays, care in a skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some home health care.”
Medicare Part B - Medical
Part B – This is medical insurance and “covers certain doctors’ services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services”
Medicare Part C - Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage plans are also known as Medicare Part C. They provide same benefits as original Medicare Parts A and B and may also include additional plan benefits, such as prescription drug, routine dental and vision.
Medicare Part D - Prescription Drug Plan
Part D – This is prescription drug coverage offered through private insurance companies for Medicare beneficiaries. Medicare prescription drug coverage can be added to your to Original Medicare, some Medicare Cost Plans, some Medicare Private-fee-for-service plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans.
Medicare Supplement Plan
Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans (also known as Medigap). Medigap plans are designed to help pay some of the out-of-pocket costs not paid by Original Medicare.
